FAQ about training with us

A USI number, or Unique Student Identifier, is a reference number assigned to individuals in Australia who undertake vocational education and training (VET). It is used to create a secure online record of the training that a student has completed, ensuring that their achievements are accurately recorded and accessible. The USI number is required for all students enrolling in nationally recognised training and helps streamline the process of accessing and verifying educational qualifications.

To obtain a Unique Student Identifier (USI) number in Australia, you can follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official USI website at www.usi.gov.au.
  2. Create an account – Click on the option to create a USI. You will be prompted to enter some personal details, such as your name, date of birth, and email address.
  3. Provide identification – You may need to provide identification details, such as your driver’s license, passport, or other forms of ID to verify your identity.
  4. Complete the application – Fill in the required information and submit your application.
  5. Receive your USI –  Once your application is processed, you will receive your USI number immediately. It will also be sent to your registered email address.

Alternatively you can call the USI contact number on 1300 857 536 and they can assist you.

Make sure to keep your USI number safe, as you will need it for future training and education purposes.

If you’ve lost your Unique Student Identifier (USI) number, you can retrieve it by following these steps:

  1. Visit the official USI website at www.usi.gov.au.
  2. Use the USI retrieval feature – Look for the option that says “Forgotten your USI?” or “Retrieve your USI.” This will guide you to the retrieval process.
  3. Provide your details – You will need to enter your personal information, such as your name, date of birth, and possibly the email address you used when you created your USI.
  4. Verification – Follow the prompts to verify your identity. This may involve answering security questions or providing identification details.
  5. Receive your USI – Once your identity is verified, your USI number will be displayed on the screen, and it may also be sent to your registered email address.

If you encounter any issues during the retrieval process, you can contact the USI office on 1300 857 536 for further assistance.

Yes, a Victorian White Card is acknowledged across Australia. These white cards serve as nationally recognised construction induction training cards and are valid throughout the entire country.

To qualify for a White Card in Victoria, applicants need to be at least 14 years old and participate in an in-person training course offered by a registered training organisation (RTO). Enrolment requires valid photo identification, such as a driver’s license or passport.

To remain current, it’s generally recommended to refresh your first aid training every three years. And refresh your CPR every 12 months.
